The Covid-19 pandemic has created a dreadful crisis around the world. Sufferers from Covid-19 in developed countires will have easier access to medical care and have measures put in place to help families financially. However, in developing countries the poor simply do not have that support system in place. If they can not work due to illness, their income is often reduced to nil and typically they are in a situation were they can not feed themselves or their families.
The Batthula Care Trust and its generous supporters were able, with the help of some kind volunteers, to travel to areas in need so as to distribute much needed food and clean drinking water. Food distribution took place for almost 20 days including cooked food to at least 100 families.
We sincerely thank everyone who contributed to this humanitarian project and although we would always like to do more, together we made a real difference.
